Founded in 1953, The Westfield Jaycees is a group of local individuals volunteering time and effort toward the betterment of our community with a particular focus in the future of our youth.
The Westfield Jaycees sponsor several local programs including:
Jaycees Child Shield Program
Working with the Westfield Police Department and the Board of Education to designate one home in every neighborhood where a child may seek assistance in an emergency situation.
Camp Jaycee
We support Camp Jaycee, a nationally accredited camp that provides an amazing and affordable camp experience for individuals with mental retardation. This is in partnership with the Association for Retarded Citizens, NJ.
Car Raffle
Periodically, the Jaycees run a luxury car raffle fund-raiser to benefit the Westfield Jaycee Foundation – the Foundation has rewarded over $100,000 in college scholarships to Westfield graduates over the years.
Concert Series
The popluar Jaycees concerts have featured top-name talent such as Livingston Taylor, Steve Forbert , and The Byrds' Roger McGuinn benefiting the community programs as well as scholarships!
Other local volunteer efforts
Habitat for Humanity - The Jaycees have worked on various Habitat for Humanity projects.
Downtown Westfield Corporation - Assisting the Annual DWC’s 5-K Pizza Run.
Helping to improve areas of downtown Westfield by organizing cleanup and landscaping.
